General Body Meeting of Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association was held today in Jawalaji presided by State President Mr Arun Kamboj. Discussion was done regarding development of Chess in Himachal Pradesh. Sanjeev Thakur, General Secretary, Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association proposed and nominated name of Mr Amit Sharma, Ex Captain and Coach Himachal Pradesh University Chess team and Director, Bragnam Learning Pvt Ltd as Vice President of Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association.
Nomination of Mr Amit Sharma was supported by all other Members of HPSCA and other members of District Chess Associations in the state. On completion of 75 years of Independence of India, celebrations were done in all branches of Bragnam. Flag was hoisted in all the play schools, Abacus centers and Skill Development institutes of Bragnam. Cultural activities were also organized in all the branches where students played roles of our freedom fighters. After completion of the event sweets were also distributed to commemorate Azadi ka amritmahotsav. We as an Indian should be proud of our rich culture and respect freedom fighters who sacrificed lives so that we can breathe freely.

State chess championships under different categories both open and girls was successfully organized on 17th and 18th June 2022 in Nahan, Himachal Pradesh.
Mr. Ram Kumar, DC Nahan was invited as chief guest for the inauguration on 17th June in Arihant international school, Nahan.
For prize distribution Mr. Mohan Datt Sharma, Additional Director was the guest of honour and he along with Mr. Amit Sharma, Director, Bragnam Learning Pvt Ltd distributed prizes to the top three players in all categories.
Mr. Amit Sharma and Mr. Mohan Datt Sharma motivated players by sharing experiences of life and guiding them regarding further opportunities in the game.

44th FIDE state under 15 championship was held at Hotel Sariyal in Kullu on 11th and 12th June. The event was sponsored by Bragnam Learning pvt Ltd and players from all Himachal participated in the event. Amit Sharma and Ruchi Sharma, Directors of Bragnam Learning pvt Ltd, were facilitated as chief Guests of the event. For two days all payers played six rounds, and it was a tough competition with Arnav and Keshav sood emerging as winners and runners in open category and Suryanshi and Palak in Girls category.
Top 25 players of the state were awarded by chief guests, directors of Bragnam Learning Pvt Ltd and President of Himachal Pradesh Chess Association, Mr Arun Kamboj.
